Johanna P. Ureña 

Geographer with expertise in disaster risk management, intersectional gender, and feminist urbanism. She is currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Human Rights with a focus on Gender and has additional knowledge in geographic economics with a gender perspective. 

Johanna has provided technical support for implementing strategies related to Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management and the gender approach, and has worked on regional consulting processes in Central America. She is currently involved in research related to Comprehensive Disaster Risk Management and gender perspective projects with the World Bank and the Organization of American Firefighters -Organización de Bomberos Americanos-. Johanna's skills also include strong knowledge of strategic communication from a feminist perspective.

Constanza Schmipp

Political Scientist specialized in Disaster Risk Reduction and Sustainable Local Development. She is currently writing her master’s thesis in Gender, Society, and Politics. With extensive experience in developing public policies and formulating strategic scenarios related to disaster risk management and project development, she has a proven track record in identifying alliances for institutional strengthening and promoting actions to articulate the objectives of non-governmental organizations, national, and international entities in Central American countries. Constanza has worked as a member of the technical team at the World Bank Group, contributing to the development of the National Disaster Risk Management Policy in 2022. Since 2020, she has been an integral member of the technical teams at the World Bank, working to promote gender inclusion in operations in Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Costa Rica. Her expertise lies in the areas of disaster risk management, public policy development, institutional strengthening, and the promotion of gender equality.

Natalia Víquez Valerio

Geographer and cartographer with experience in disaster risk management, social cartography, and participatory methods, geographic information management systems and database organization. She has experience and skills for teamwork, work with rural communities and organization.

Through her academic training, she has had the opportunity to be part of different work and research teams on topics related to indigenous territories, watershed management, territorial management, among others. Natalia has been part of teamwork process for the technical support into international consultancy processes for the development of disaster risk management policies, plans and projects, such as the application of the governance index of public policies in several Latin-American countries, the updating of the training course for African and Latin American countries in local risk management, and the development of recovery and resilience building actions. She also has experience in designing modules and designing specialized training packages using visual platforms for training in disaster risk management.
