Focus Areas
We seek to influence disaster risk management and contribute to more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable communities across Latin America and the Caribbean. To achieve this, we work through strategic thematic areas:
Risk governance with an intersectional approach
Aportamos análisis y recomendaciones para fortalecer la toma de decisiones en políticas, instituciones y marcos normativos, integrando la perspectiva de género y otras interseccionalidades.
Gender, climate change, and disaster risk management
We generate knowledge on how disasters and climate change impact people differently depending on gender, age, socioeconomic conditions, and territorial contexts, helping guide more equitable policies and practices.
Institutional design and gender mainstreaming
We develop tools, assessments, and strategies that support public institutions and organizations in integrating gender equality into planning, governance, and project implementation

Capacity strengthening with a feminist and intersectional approach
We implement training processes for public officials, academia, and civil society organizations, strengthening technical and institutional capacities to integrate feminist and intersectional perspectives into disaster risk management.
Technical and strategic advocacy in disaster risk reduction
We participate in regional forums, networks, and dialogue spaces, combining political positioning with technical rigor to promote structural transformations in risk governance.
